Condolences |

Condolences to my friend Bruce Hill, and to the rest of Bill Hill's family, on the loss of the family patriarch.
I thoroughly enjoyed Bill, and I will forever miss the Junque Man, Bill's alternate persona. He was a real character, an example of the kind of people who have caused me to love this community for more than 35 years.
As a Ham radio operator, I will be forever thankful for the 50-year-old soldering iron that is the only tool in my arsenal that is capable of properly soldering an antenna connector. Bill sold it to me for a couple of bucks and even let me plug it in to make sure it worked. It wasn't meant to solder antenna connectors, but it was what it was. Bill had about five of them if you knew just where to look.
That was the thing about Bill. If you were looking for it, he had it. And he always made sure you got your money's worth.
The Hills are going to miss their dad, but they won't be alone. So will the rest of us.

Tomorrow at 8:00 AM, the Colorado House of Representatives will convene an Ethics Committee. An Ethics Committee isn't a standing body under the rules of the House, so there must be a complaint of some sort that the leadership of both parties thinks is valid.
The Colorado Statesman thinks it's about Steve King.
The Daily Sentinel says nothing.
I don't know what it's about, but I'll listen and report. You can listen too. The hearing will be in House Committee Room 111. You can go to the General Assembly web site, click "Video/Audio Broadcasts of Current Proceedings," and choose House Committee Room 111.
