Thanks to the Friends of the Depot and/or anyone else who got the former D&RGW depot listed as endangered.
I've become a bit of a rail fan this year. Whenever I am downtown taking pictures of the Zephyr, I marvel at what a beautiful piece of architecture the old depot is.
I think it's worth saving.
If I had a spare $166,000, I would have bid on it.
Trouble is, and pardon my cynicism, no sooner would someone buy it than the City would swoop in and tell them what to do with it.

I wasn't going to write about Steve King until next Friday, at which time he'll try to convince an Ethics Committee that breaking the law is better than breaking House rules.
